Paul Grisanti is a Real Estate Broker with over 30 years of experience in the Malibu area. He is currently the Land Director for the Malibu offices of the Coldwell Banker Company and serves with his wife Sara as Associate Manager of the Malibu Colony office. He is one of Coldwell Banker's Top 100 agents among 64,000 sales professionals in over 35 major Metropolitan areas.
In 2005 Paul represented both Buyer and Seller in the purchase of the 26 acre parcel of land next to Malibu Bluff Park, Listed for $26,000,000. This represented the largest sale of a subdivision by an agent representing Both Buyer and Seller in Malibu history.
In December of 1992 the Malibu Board of Realtors named Paul their "1992 Realtor of the Year" for his work in voicing the property rights concerns of area homeowners before the City Council and their Task Forces.
He was one of the ten original members of the General Plan Task Force charged with creating a General Plan of the new city and served on that task force until January of 1992 when he resigned to run for City Council.
Paul has distinguished himself as a Subdivision Specialist by selling several of the major subdivisions in the Malibu area. In 1990 he was the Listing agent for Paradise View Estates, now called Ramirez Mesa. This is a ten lot, gated community with homes averaging 6000 square feet on over 1 acre parcels.
In 1989 he sold a 180 parcel of land in Latigo Canyon to a partnership who subdivided it into 19 lots. At the time this subdivision was called The Citidel. When the partnership decided to sell these parcels, Paul was asked to list the properties as a package. In 1998 Paul sold the entire subdivision to a Partnership who built 18 homes and developed the gated community called Malibu Pacifica, which includes Latigo Bay View Drive and Callicut Drive. In 2001Paul was chosen by the developer to sell the individual homes.
In 2000 Paul listed the 5 lot subdivision, owned in a private gated community, now called Broad Beach Lane. This subdivision consisted two 50-foot parcels, one 55-foot parcel, one 35 foot parcel and one 200- foot wide parcel, all on the sandiest part of Broad beach.
Grisanti has a degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he was a letterman on the U.C.S.B. Crew team and President of the Rowing Club.
In 1977 Paul earned a Real Estate Salesman's license and was awarded a Broker's license in 1981. He has a long record of community service in the Malibu area as a charter member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Malibu. He held a seat on the Malibu Township Council for two terms and served two terms as a Board Member of the Malibu Chamber of Commerce. Paul was President of the Malibu Association of Realtors in 2007 , was a state director for the California Association of Realtors for three years and is currently the Chairman of the Public Works Commissioners for the City of Malibu.
Mr. Grisanti has been intimately involved with efforts underway to mitigate the impacts of the Interim Zoning Ordinance criteria on new construction and remodeling. His first hand knowledge of the individual councilpersons, the General Plan, I.Z.O., and the City's staff has proven to be of great value to his clientele and coworkers.
